Buying a property is probably the most important  financial transaction that anyone will make. For the peace of mind that it will provide an independent Survey is essential.

 

Even if you have arranged a Mortgage Valuation report, it is still recommended to commission a Survey from  your own Chartered Surveyor.  It is always important to remember that a Mortgage Valuation report is prepared for the Lenders purposes not the Buyer.

 

You cannot, therefore, rely upon a Mortgage valuation report to answer the questions that only a more detailed Survey report by a local Chartered Surveyor will provide.

As an experienced Chartered Surveyor the Survey report that can be provided is comprehensive, easy to understand, uses plain English, provides photographs to help understand defects whilst providing the best quality advice.
